With the notable change of the official tagline from "The World of Tomorrow" to "For Peace and Freedom," this is the 1940 edition of the Official Guidebook. By this point in world political history, tensions between international powers were mounting, and World War II had begun. It is important to note that the USSR, Poland, and Czechoslovakia did not return for this second season of the fair, a direct result of the conflict in Europe.
